How to Create a Pilates Home Studio

Pilates is a wonderful exercise, one that everyone should try at least once. There are few exercises that offer as a complete mind-body workout as a Pilates home workout does, as it not only helps you to lose body fat and gain muscle, but also improves your flexibility and balance.

If you are really excited about getting started in Pilates and are going to be serious about it, you are going to want to create a Pilates home studio. It is quite easy to do, there are just a few steps that you are going to need to take and before you know it you will have a complete Pilates home studio right in the comfort of your own house.

Getting Started

To create your Pilates home studio, the first thing you should do is make a list of what you are going to need. One of the best things about Pilates is that there are very few pieces of equipment you are going to need. You will want to get a few different Pilates machines for your Pilates home studio, as well as a mat and some basic equipment such as dumbbells.

Creating a Workout Plan

Not only are you going to want to take time to create your Pilates home studio, but as well to design a workout and nutrition plan that is going to help you lose fat and shape your body as you want.

You want to make sure that you are eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, but if you are eating fruits and especially those which have a high glycemic index such as bananas, then you are going to want to eat them earlier in the morning so your body has time to work the sugar off.

You should try to avoid carbs so do not over eat breads, eggs, and sugary or fatty foods. You should try snacking on apples or nuts through the day because they are filling and very nutritious. Water is of course incredibly important to include in your diet, and you should be drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day if not more.

Try carrying a water bottle around with you during the day because this will help you remember to keep drinking water. Also keep in mind that you get water through the food that you eat as well, and so as long as you are eating healthily and drinking even just a few glasses of water each day you should be getting enough.
